Wow we had a fantastic Grand Opening.

We had delicious cake from Tiers Custom Cakes. The Harpist Rex Moore played as girls mingled and enjoyed the Hot Cider and coffee. Handsome Randy (the Horse) of Hileman Carriage enjoyed the carrots and apples as he carried future brides and grooms on a lovely ride around our shop. Zach Hileman did look handsome in his coachman’s attire. Girls were absolutely taken away with the dresses that Adore brought. Adore’s calender is filling up, so make sure you set your appointment for the new lines in January. WBNQ kept things hopping on the radio. Our photographer Kelly Lyle answered questions as Brides drooled over his lovely albums. He shot pictures all night! Cesar from Star Talent gave us a display of the beautiful up-lighting and was so helpful as he enlightened Brides and Grooms on Wedding Entertainment. Tabetha Smith of “Gathered Hair Together” talked updos and “how to” all evening. Watch for Tab’s workshops in March. We had lovely floral arrangements by Forget Me Not Flowers. The whole room was a buzz. Brides and Grooms were able to meet and actually talk to the vendors in a relaxed atmosphere. We all truly enjoyed the evening. I think we should do it again.
The Winner of our Drawing is Gabrielle Studer. It was great. We went next door to Starbucks and asked the Manager on Duty, we call him “Starbucks Jay” to pull the winner. He reached inside and pulled out Gabrielle Studer. Her wedding is November 3, 2012. We called her immediately, her sister answered and we told her what she won. She asked if she could bring her down to the shop to pick up the prize. She told her sister that she won one of the gift baskets… we tricked her. She came into the shop and we told her we were closed and the event was over. She said, “I thought I won something?” We searched our papers acting as if she was mistaken. Then Kelly Lyle asked her, “What was your name?” She said, “Gabrielle Studer.” We then proceeded to introduce ourselves starting with Kelly: “Hello, I am Kelly Lyle, I am your photographer. Hello, I am Miranda Davis, this is Julie Schumann we are your decorators. Hello, I am Margaret Moore, I am your planner. We are sorry but your DJ, hair stylist, and Wedding Gown consultants just left.” She started to cry it was a great end to a great evening.
